Tom Baker is blogging. Check out his discussion of a new form of love, superior to eros and agape - fan love (!):
This week, though, I'm more interested in matters of the heart. Basically, I'm going to talk about love. Not romantic love, or Courtney Love, whoever she is, but something much more permanent. You see, unlike human love, fan love is superior because it doesn't fade. So when people stop me in the street and tell me, 'I love you Tom', I understand perfectly well what they mean. So we squeeze one another, we embrace, and then on we go. Very satisfying for everyone involved, I think!
Stream-of-consciousness much, Mr. Baker?:
Oysters are snotty things, aren't they? I remember a time when spitting was still permitted in public, and on the tramcars of Liverpool it was like walking on opened oysters. Imagine the courage of the first man to eat an oyster? I do like them though, and cockles, and mussels, but I couldn't eat a sheep's eyeball.
