Venture Brothers: Assassinanny 911

So, a few notes on tonight's ep, hopefully cryptic as always for the Venture virgin:

• To add to the previous Bowie and Depeche Mode refs, we now have The Doors. And Chinatown goes on the cinematic homage list too.
  
• At least three "Da-yam!" moments tonight, with some extra feeling for the mail-order bride one.
  
• Good to see more of Brock's past. The Swedish murder machine is growing on me a little as a character.
  
• Nice interweaving of action sequences towards the end; they're quite fond of that.
  
• If we take some of tonight's throwaway references seriously, the U.S. gov't in the Ventureverse is pretty scary: "The Second American Revolution - the invisible one!" and "The President isn't the President. You know that!"
